Glitchcraft

I trained a GPT-2 model on a personal corpus of occult materials, and used it to generate a book with a method I call recursive table of contents prompting. I prompted the model with the following:

CONTENTS:

Then I generated tables of contents, gathering the most unique and interesting titles at each numbered chapter until I had a full twenty-one.

Then I prompted the model for each chapter individually, using the title the book and the chapter title, and curated several generations of each.

I called forth a new book of magic from the depths of language.

Later I took this book to a gathering of magic users and we tested several of the incantations aloud. Feedback included:

“this is spooky”

“what the actual fuck”

“please destroy this permanently”
