Thinking about when I used to run a community center in Portland and we would have these groups of activists and they would be like “what’s your name and something you passionate about” and when it got to me I would say “black magic”
No wonder it was hard to keep volunteers
For the record part of the fun of calling it “black magic” is seeing which word the soft white Portlanders reacted to more strongly
