I updated my beliefs a lot during 2020. This is the sixth major update of my operating beliefs (since I started programming myself). So, version 7.0. I should probably keep track of the new beliefs, to see which ones hold up.
In a nutshell:
- People are insane
- But we do remarkably well anyway
- Most problems left are wicked problems
- Causality is hard to predict
- You can’t change people
- In some cases, with the right amount of passion and luck, you can make true contact with another person’s soul
∴ Shit’s fucked up, but we’re gonna make it
